You may not all be a Ted Mosby, Mike Brady or Michael Newman but everyone can take part in the region’s largest design and construction industry conference and tradeshow.
Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Design Professionals, and Clients converge at ArchitectureBoston Expo (ABX), formerly Build Boston, to strengthen relationships and networks within the New England Area. 95 percent of the attendees are from the New England area.
The Expo also has over 175 seminars covering a wide range of topics from code analysis and sustainability to hands on learning about accessibility standards.
Something that would be interesting for anyone will be an interactive exhibit revealing errors handicap accessible detailing. The exhibit is meant to help the public and designers understand why building code is written as it is.
The installation of ramps, toilet rooms, and kitchenettes will include two parts made to look identical to one another. One room will be “universally designed”, while to other will have common design errors that could make these spaces difficult or impossible to use.
I nerded it up a bit on this, but hey I love what I do!
So… I will leave you with this…
So if the seminars put you to sleep, and you run a wheelchair into a wall in the accessibility installation, maybe some of our God-like-hotness will rub off on you! 😉
