Happy post Election Day! And congratulations to Barack Obama! Get ready for the second term. In my humble opinion, booyah!

Are you nursing election night hangovers? Groggy from staying up past your bed time? Raging against the world because you’re so unhappy with the outcome? Planning to flee to Canada because the Affordable Care Act is here to stay? (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.)

We’ll take it all. Get your election celebration or lamentation photos up on our We Love Beantown Flickr!

It was a big night last night. We saw Massachusetts elect its first female senator as Elizabeth Warren defeated incumbent Scott Brown to take back late Sen. Ted Kennedy’s seat for the Dems. And another Kennedy joined the ranks of the famed-family’s service to our nation. Joe Kennedy III defeated Republican opponent Sean Bielat to fill retired Rep. Barney Frank’s seat.

Sidenote: There was great excitement among some Beantown writers about the victory.

OMG WE HAVE A GINGER KENNEDY!

I concur.

Which is why this week’s Photo of the Week is fitting – it was taken at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. And if you’ve never been, stop reading this now and go. Think of it as your post-election civic duty.
