Bostonites, where am I?
It’s a new year, and in the ever-relevant and never overused words of one Ferris Bueller, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
I think sometimes it’s really easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, the same old way we walk to work, our routines, what we “have time for,” where we go in the city. Especially during the work week. Because we live here, we can take for granted what’s around us and not really appreciate the small details that make Boston great.
So, let’s play a little game:
This is a great photo shot by We Love Beantown’s own Alexandra Dupnik, our architecture extraordinaire. Can you tell from this cropped version what this building is? Where is it? Quick, can you give a Boston tourist a quick snapshot (har har) of it?
We’ll share the answer with you later today, and maybe a little dose of “Did you know,” but for now, think about trying to do something different this year. Or day, month, hour even. Try looking at where you are from another view point, build in just a wee bit of time to walk a different route, revisit a place you haven’t been to in a while, and get out there.
From the one who has a hard time even leaving her office daily, I know this is easier said than done. That’s why there’s New Years resolutions, right?
