These are the days I’m glad to keep a Transit Nerds twitter list.
Boston-based transportation advocacy organization LivableStreets is hosting a “T”rivia Night this week at Lir in the Back Bay. Think you can name the origin and destination of every T line? Bring it on.
Teams can have a maximum of six players, and no title or experience necessary. Go practice on Sporcle (there are more T-related quizzes available than I anticipated) and come ready for competition. Or, you could read up on Don Appleyard, former MIT professor and originator of the term “livable streets.” See if it gets you bonus points. Unmapped Boston is providing a prize to the winning team.
The event is ostensibly free, but small donations are suggested to support LivableStreets’s advocacy and outreach regarding biking, walking and transit with automobiles in Greater Boston.
Lir is, of course, transit accessible via the Hynes Green Line and #1, CT1, #39 or #55 buses. There are street signs on which to lock your bike, but you’ll have to compete with Trader Joe’s shoppers.
