Want to know what’s hard? Driving in Boston. What’s even harder? Driving in Boston and then suddenly being stopped on a one-way street that’s blocked for repaving…with no detour in sight. Crud.
If you live in Brighton or Allston, that’s been happening a lot lately. But apparently, it’s not just Brighton that’s gotten a sudden influx of construction vehicles and hazardous roads filled with raised manhole covers and grooved pavement. The City of Boston is in a road-paving frenzy this Summer.
While us Bostonians loooooooovvvvve to complain about our transportation woes, whether via the streets or the T, I have to commend the City for taking action. There are some gnarly potholes out there. Pave on, dudes, pave on!
