Brighton Music Hall is hosting a serious show on Monday night.
Leagues and Andrew Belle will grace the Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Veterans Day, a show that has received far less hype than deserved. This $15 ticket is by far one of the best that the former Harper’s Ferry has offered in recent months. I strongly recommend attendance. Continue reading
“It’s pretty clear that there’s something about our music that reaches these particular people on a deeper level. It’s a great connection to have, and to affect people in that way, because our favorite music affects us that way. It’s good to know that our music can have the same impact on others. We try to be as honest with the audience as possible, and we’re just out to be ourselves and to play music we love. We’re very, very fortunate that people respond to that, and that people love what we love as well, so there’s no reason to ever change that kind of honest connection with them. I feel that’s just deepened with this whole experience.”- Boston.com
We’ve seen our community come together to help out those in need before, and tonight will be one of those examples. When a great local musician is diagnosed with Leukemia and lacks medical insurance, it’s the job of the community to step up and help out.
That’s why a local crew of all-star musicians are banding together to support Brown Bird’s David Lamb, by replacing the canceled Brown Bird album release show with a benefit at Brighton Music Hall tonight at 8pm.
Brown Bird has been touring the country extensively the last couple of years, highlighted by performances at the historic Newport Folk Festival. It’d be a shame to see a band come this far and not continue on. That’s why friends: Tallahassee, Joe Fletcher & The Wrong Reasons and Coyote Kolb will entertain us all in the name of a good cause. Tickets are available here and at the door for only $17.
If you can’t make it tonight you can also support David and Brown Bird by buying music or donating here.
