The Red Line will NOT be closed north of Harvard this weekend. The MBTA moved the work schedule to this Spring.
Good news for those of us who loathe waiting in the cold to get a bus to take us to Harvard.
According to the newly released QS World University Rankings announced today, our very own Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the No. 1 ranked university in the world. The Cambridge university, home to such splendors as the MIT Media Lab and numerous award winning professors, out dueled a university from a different Cambridge — The University of Cambridge across the pond in England.
Harvard was a in the top five ranks as well, grabbing No. 3 on the list behind the University of Cambridge but ahead of three other London-based centers of higher learning: University College London, Imperial College London and Oxford University (Nos. 4-6, respectively).
Only one other Boston-based school was able to snake its way into the top 100 listings.
