As described in last week’s angsty post that culminated in some XX, I bought a turntable today. It was a craigslist purchase and, in the interest of assessing a used product, I asked the seller if I might hear the equipment hooked up to ensure it worked. He had a record already queued up. Though I was listening to Jimi Hendrix’s “Band of Gypsies” as recently as a few weeks ago, it’d been too long since hearing some classic Axis. Morning maniac music, indeed, and turn it up loud.
